Common questions
Yes. We don't charge a platform fee, a per-product fee, or a transaction fee while we're in beta. Stripe's standard processing fees still apply because Stripe handles your payments; those go to Stripe, not us.
We're targeting paid plans later in 2026. Early-access merchants who join in beta will have advance notice and grandfather pricing on whichever plan tier matches their volume at launch.
Shopify's Basic plan is $29/month plus 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction; on top, most stores pay for several apps for what LOAM ships natively (AI brand, customer agent, theme system, multi-store). LOAM is free during beta. When paid plans launch, the headline goal is one all-inclusive subscription rather than a base fee plus app tax.
Your data, your customers, and your Stripe account stay yours — they live in your own database and your own Stripe Connect account. If pricing changes meaningfully you'll have notice, grandfathered options, and a full data export.
No. LOAM walks you through Stripe Connect onboarding during your first checkout setup. Stripe's KYC takes a few minutes and runs in your name (Stripe Connect Express).
LOAM charges no transaction fee during beta. Stripe's standard processing fee (2.9% + 30¢ in the US; varies by country) applies because Stripe processes your payments.
